Cyril and Jerry are the owners of QuickIn Wash - a waterless car wash company that is based in Victoria Yards - in the inner city of Johannesburg. QuickIn Wash is a mobile waterless car cleaning business that uses non-chemical products for cleaning cars and conserves water as a result. The duo started the company 2 years ago - and is in the stage of scaling.
The duo is undergoing a start-up training course at Social Impact Africa and joined its Social Impact Start-Up and Business Accelerator Program 2023.

Thabang Lichaba
Batho Metsi Metsi (PTY) Ltd - A Bottled Water Enterprise
Thabang was born in Daveyton, one of the largest townships in South Africa, and which was the first black township to have access to electricity. He is Founder of Bacha Ba Dichaba Explorers, an organisation that seeks to empower the youth through various programmes such as Spelling Bee, Maths Olympiad, Teach a Boy Child to Fight Men’s Battles and many more.
He is busy at the moment conceptualising his bottled water business called Batho Metsi Metsi and hopes to supply companies, schools and organisations etc, with his labelled bottled water. To further develop the idea he has joined the Social Impact Start-Up course offered by Social Impact Africa and Impact Amplifier.


Floragivalanah Clement Kigosi
Flowee “With Her” - Reusable Sanitary Pads
Floragivalanah is the founder of Flowee "With Her" Reusable Sanitary Pads. She has developed an entrepreneurial solution to address menstrual hygiene challenges faced by girls in Tanzania by providing affordable and eco-friendly menstrual hygiene products to underprivileged communities. Through her leadership, the initiative has produced and distributed over 10,000 pads since 2019, making a significant impact in improving the lives of girls in the region.
In addition to her work with Flowee, Floragivalanah is also the Founding Executive Director of IPA Community Initiatives (ICOIN), a social enterprise focused on providing and implementing comprehensive programs to empower adolescents ,youth and women, and has implemented various awareness raising interventions on menstrual health management, sexual reproductive health, and life skills, providing crucial education and support to young people in the community.
Jacindra Naidoo - Founder of CTG
Clothes To Good (CTG) is a textile recycling and disability empowerment organisation
CTG has for the last twelve years been facilitating micro-businesses, supporting people with disabilities and equipping early learning centres with educational tools and toys. Operations director Tammy Greyling says, “We look at waste as an asset that can help change the lives of people. We ask what we can do with it and who we can empower.” To date, CTG has recycled 580 tons of pre-loved clothes, empowered 108 micro-businesses and supported 100 early childhood centres. Recently, CTG received an audience award after presenting at the Tommy Hilfiger conscious fashion challenges, and was short-listed from 430 applications from 83 countries.

Ntsikelelo Mzibomvu
Visual Artist, Author, Speaker - Social Impact Africa Advocacy Award Winner - 2023
Ntsikelelo Mzibomvu is an impressive and dynamic keynote speaker, visual artist, author and a master of ceremonies. He is also a contributor to the fatherhood memoirs book “A Father, A Stranger” edited by Bongani Luvalo of Cool Dad’s Foundation and features key figures such as Mike Teke, former president Jacob Zuma, Simphiwe Masiza and many others. As a visual artist his work focuses on two areas, Expressionist Abstract Art; and his Drawings and Paintings. His Expressionist Abstract Art seeks to speak the various aspects of the human journey through a series of works titled “The Pilgrimage”. He is also the host of Conversations over Coffee and Art and CoCaPodcast – a dialogue platform fueled by the love and appreciation for art; its capacity for impactful social commentary; and the desire to drive change through conversation – over coffee. In his latest exhibition and body of work “Unconditional Love(d)” he explores issues around modern masculinity and fatherhood. His works can be viewed at Hallmark House Hotel in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Artist and Creative Entrepreneur - WhoArt Creative Kids
WhoArt is a visual arts company that provides art products and services. It focuses on fine art paintings, prints and drawings and provides visual arts services specific to a client’s needs such as commissions, murals and photography. The proceeds that the business makes go towards funding an art program that focuses on using art to encourage the youth of Mamelodi East to embrace education, entrepreneurship and travelling opportunities available to them. Through the process of creating art with meaning, packaging the art in accordance to industry standards and taking it to market in order to make a sale, they get hands on entrepreneurial skills. Currently the program is being structured into an incubation program that equips the youth with the skills to pursue furthering their education and working overseas.

Siyabonga Ndlangamandla
Urban Farmer - Makers Valley Farm
Siyabonga is a social entrepreneur currently using hydroponic farming to train and empower community members living around Bez Valley. His farm is called the Makers Valley Farm and is focused on creating a sustainable business and developing food security.
He employs over 50 households collectively creating a better life for the Makers Valley community focusing on creating food security and promoting other social businesses. He created this farming venture to support farmers, gardeners and others interested in growing their own food within the Makers Valley community to create a sense of food security and to make use of the pavements and open spaces in the neighbourhood that remain neglected. They plant vegetables that mature quickly such as spinach, carrots and spring onions to meet the immediate needs of the community. Once the plants have ripened, families in the community help themselves to the vegetables to prepare meals at their homes, while some vegetables are picked and donated to surrounding soup kitchens to cater for the homeless who do not have the means to prepare food.
